Finally… Next: Push notification, which Apple admits it’s late on. Says they had to completely redesign the server for Push Notifications. It’s taken 6 months.
CoreLocation will also be available for Turn-by-Turn GPS apps. However, developers will need to supply their own Maps because Google isn’t licensing their for this use.
iPhone 3.0 will let developers write apps that talk to hardware connected via the dock connector. Like an FM transmitter or a speaker system
Ars: iPhone can control the speaker’s EQ, for example. Nw talking about FM transmitters for cars. FM signal can be controlled frm display.
iPhone 3.0 will support auto-locate of devices in the same general area without having to use WiFi. The auto-discovery is performed over bluetooth, without pairing. This is powered by Bonjour and will benefit both games and other applications
Blessings in disguise
I’m down sick today. The Mrs is too. I got it from her actually. But I think it is a blessings in disguise. Both of us have been very busy lately. So being sick together allows us to spend a whole day doing nothing together.
Well it may have been sweeter had we been healthy and not looking like zombies; but nevertheless, it is nice.
Truly a blessings in disguise.

My wish list for iPhone 3.0
I’ve been using an iPhone for a year now and it is by far the best smartphone I’ve used and I’ve used quite a lot (Pocket PC, Symbian, UIQ, Palm). However, with its bells and whistles, it lacks some of the basic features of a good phone.
